Work experience:
o 1996-97: joined lions family welfare planning trust (LFWPT), an NGO established in 1984 for solutions towards
health and education and rural development, worked in various capacities handling different projects.
o 1998-99: project coordinator for “National child labor project” running three bridge schools and one residential
school for girl children.
o 1999-2000: worked as planning head for the launch of “partners in sexual health” project in Vizianagaram district
with technical guidance and funding by Andhra Pradesh state AIDS control society (APSACS). Handled the needs
assessment survey for truckers and worked closely with people living with HIV/AIDS and instrumental in forming of
“Vijay+-first ever positive club for the positive people”
o 2000-01: launch of “vijayapratham”- a PRATHAM educational initiative in 163 villages covering 4 mandals now
scaled up to 200 villages. Played a catalytic role in project proposing, managing and scaling up. Training and programme
head for 5 years for 200 balsakhis 15 supervisors and 2 coordinators and a 12 member core committee team, in
conceptualizing educational material for drop-out children in telugu and mathematics.
o 2003-04: served as treasurer for VIN-CSO (Vizianagaram networking of civil society organization) for the
elimination of child labor funded by “International Labor Organization (ILO)” with project guidance from “Andhra Mahila
Sabha” Hyderabad.
o 2004-05: working as chief executive/trustee for LFWPT handling all communication, project, legal and finance
matters.
o 2005-06: working with international HIV/AIDS alliance for their “home and community based care and support
for people living with HIV/AIDS” in advisory role.
