About 'Siromani' Vamsee Ramaraju, Vamsi Arts Foundation

‘Siromani’ Vamsi Ramaraju is the doyen of the Andhra Pradesh Cultural field. He visited USA (7 times) UK ( 4 times), Canada (3 times), Dubai, Hongkong and China. He toured USA along with three handicapped child artists and presented 30 cultural programmes of mythological and social themes.

He is the Founder President of Vamsee Art Theatres International, Relangi Art Academy, Abhinandana, Fouder-Chairman of Vamsee Cultural & Educational Trust, Sri Lakshmi Nrusimha Charities, Vamse Berkeley Film & TV Awards Committee, Founder Managing Trustee of Vegesna Foundaiton and convenor of TSR Kalapeetham. He is the nominee of many flourishing cultural ornganisations. He was twice the memebr of Nandi Awards committee and was the chairman of the Nandi Natakotsava Hospitality Committee for 6 times. He is the member of International Film Festival and International children's Film Festival.Awards and FElicitations:He was conferred the 'Siromani' Award by Dr.Sankar Dayal Sharma, in 1987, the then Vice-President of India.

He is felicitated by the lineage of Chief Ministers and Governors of Andhra Pradesh. He is conferred the 'Best Cultural Promotor' award alongwith a cash award of RS.25,000-00 in 19999, by Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu, on behalf of CBR Foundation. He was confered with the title of "Kalanidhi" by Telguu Association of North America (TANA, USA). He was conferred with the title of "Seva Kalitha Viswa karma" & cash award of Rs.1,00,00-00 by the Telugu Fine Arts Society, New Jersey.

He was conferred "Vikalangula Apatbandhava" by the Telugu Assoication of North Texas, Dallas, USA and 'Sangha Seva Siromani' by the Telugu Cultural Association, Houston, USA. He was presented the 'Life Time Achievement Award' by the Swarnandhra Cultural Association, Houston, USA. He was presented the 'Life Time Achievement Award', by the Swarnandhra Cultural Associaiton, Bombay.

He was felicitated by many Lions clubs, Rotary clubs, Jaycees and cultural organisations of India and abroad and to mention a few are Madras Telugu Academy, Delhi Telugu Sangam, Delhi Telugu Academy, Bombay Andhra Mahasabha. He was conferred many titles by various cultrual organsiaotns such as "Samskruthika Kala Ratna, Samskruthi Kala Vidhatha, 'Samskruthika Kala Tapasvi etc. He toured the world with Padmabhushan Dr.Akkineni Nageswara Rao.Activities:He established Gold Medals at Andhra University and Kakatiya Univeristy and helping the old artists by way of "Financial Assistance".

He organsied more than 5000 cultural programmes. He encourages many young artistes and organisations. It will not be an exaggeration to say that there is no artist in the cultural field who is not felicitated by him. He is working as a liason between the Telugu Cultural Organisations the world over and the artistes. Hence, it will be apt to say that he is the Telugu Cultural Ambassador of the World.

Though started his career as a film journalist and worked in many Govt., Depts, he has taken voluntary retirement to dedicate himself for the welfare activities of the disabled children. He is maintaining complete rehabilitation center for differently abled children where all the rehabilitation services are provided free of cost. He has constructed Sri Lakshmi Nrusimha Swamy Meditation Hall (with the help of Dr.Y.S.Rao and Smt.Sailaja Rao, USA) 'Dr.C.Narayana Reddy shelter for the Handicapped' (with Dr.C.Narayana Reddy MPLADAS Funds) Punaravas Building (with the help of TANA, HHH and other NRI friends) Dr.Kidambi Raghnath Bhavan (Hostel for girls), Vamsee special children building, and Bhagavan Shirdi Sai Meditation Hall.

He is planning for an Old Age Home for the veteran artistes and needy. He performed Yagas and Homams for the welfare of the differently abled, old and destitute and artistes. He authored the books "Adbhutha jantu Prapancham" (published by AP Balala Academy) and "American Presidents and their Wives".Inspiration:

He is inspired to enter into cultural and social fields by his father late Subba Rao Pantulu, a stge artste, a school teacher and a branch post master and his mother Smt.Laxmi Narasamma, a social worker. The four mentors of Vamsee Ramaraju's present personality are Dr.Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Dr.C.Narayana Reddy, Dr.Dasari Narayana Rao and Dr.T.Subbarami Reddy. Their long acquiantance, guidance and associaiton has moulded his multifaceted cultural, social personality and he owes his personal heights to them.Family:His wife Dr.Tenneti Sudha Devi (Writer) is a Deputy Director in Telugu Academy.

His sons are Vamseedhar (Music Director), Vamsee Krishna (Social Worker), daughter-in-laws are Tarangini, Supriya and grand daughter is Sisilika. he has a well settled family of four brothers and three sisters.
